Job summary

YMCA of Greater Rochester is seeking a Manager of Data, Analysis & Impact to build and deliver the data capabilities that inform member insights, performance evaluation, and strategic decisions.

You will oversee data quality, develop data flows from core systems, and publish reliable dashboards using SQL, Power BI, Excel and AI-enabled tools. This role blends hands-on data work with cross-functional collaboration across YMCA branches and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, information systems, CS, statistics or related analytical field
• 3-5 years’ experience with structured data systems like CRM platforms, POS systems or data warehouses
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with SQL, Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI, Excel and emerging AI-enabled tools
• Proficient with Power BI or Tableau for data exploration and reporting
• Ability to travel between local YMCA branches
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to staff at various levels

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize integrated data flows for quality and reporting
• Collaborate with leaders to define KPIs and prioritize reporting needs
• Conduct recurring and ad hoc analyses to identify patterns and inform decisions
• Build and maintain dashboards tracking membership, participation, attendance, programs, revenue and customer behavior
• Advance data governance, definitions, and reporting standards
• Establish data validation and reconciliation processes
• Document data processes, transformations and metrics for broad understanding
• Support staff to use analyses and reports for high impact
• Attend required meetings and trainings
• Perform other duties in support of department operations and YMCA mission
