Job summary

CNA Insurance's Data Analytics Summer Internship Program in Chicago offers a dynamic 10-12 week development experience with hands-on analytics, data modeling, and research across CNA business units. The program combines office and remote work in a hybrid arrangement.

Eligible students are sophomores, juniors, or seniors or first-year masters pursuing math, economics, statistics, actuarial science, data science, CS or related fields, with a 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior (undergraduate) or in first year of Master's program pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• A minimum 3.00 GPA is required (overall and major)
• Interest in the Insurance Industry
• Some previous work experience preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and the ability to cultivate and maintain positive business relationships
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective problem solving, analytical aptitude, learn quickly and embrace change
• Ability to learn and change quickly
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Participate in data analytics, data modeling and strategic research projects across CNA business units
• Work with a dedicated mentor and manager to deliver project outcomes
• Present findings to leadership and stakeholders as required
• Collaborate with teams to apply analytics to business objectives
