Job summary

CNA is offering a Data Analytics Summer Internship Program designed to give a hands-on, 10–12 week development experience in advanced analytics, data modeling and strategic research across CNA’s business units.

Participants will receive dedicated management and mentorship, engage with senior leaders, and benefit from ongoing feedback and coaching on performance and career development, with consideration for full-time placement after graduation.

Qualifications

• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior (undergraduate) or in first year of Master's program pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• A minimum 3.00 GPA is required (overall and major)
• Interest in the Insurance Industry
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior (undergraduate) or in first year of Master's program pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• A minimum 3.00 GPA is required (overall and major)
• Interest in the Insurance Industry
• Some previous work experience preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and the ability to cultivate and maintain positive business relationships

Program Location

CNA’s corporate headquarters is located in the heart of downtown Chicago at 151 N Franklin St, near all public transportation from the city and suburbs. The program will employ a hybrid working model, alternating between working in the office and from home. #LI-KA1 #LI-HYBRID

Salary & Compensation

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $35,000 to $65,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
