Forus in New York is seeking a Data & Analytics Engineer to build the data foundation that powers decision-making across the company. You will design core data models, pipelines, and reporting infrastructure so the right people have access to clean, trustworthy data.

You will shape analytics practices, define metrics, and collaborate with product, operations, and leadership to enable fast, evidence-based decisions at scale.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a technical data analyst role with production ownership.
• Expert-level SQL with a code-first approach (versioning, testing, documentation).
• Experience designing scalable data models balancing usability, performance, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with modern data stack: dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, GCP/AWS/Snowflake, Metabase.
• Strong written and verbal communication for internal debates and external relationships.
• Track record of moving quickly and delivering on goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core data models for internal analytics and client insights.
• Design and operate data pipelines transforming raw sources into analytics-ready tables.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools for product, ops, and GTM visibility.
• Define and enforce metric consistency across teams (KPIs and usage definitions).
• Improve and scale analytics stack using GCP BigQuery, Dataform, Fivetran, Postgres, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data needs into reliable systems.
• Contribute to internal data culture through documentation, education, and code quality standards.
