Job summary

Forus in New York seeks a Data Scientist to define and predict core metrics, and drive end-to-end strategic projects. You will work cross-functionally with engineers and partners, including Fortune 100 customers, to surface actionable insights.

This role offers autonomy, ownership, and a path to leadership as we scale. You will balance rapid growth with long-term profitability while building data products and establishing reliable data sources for real-time decision making.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or 4+ years in an analytics-heavy, business-focused role.
• Strong technical background with exceptional ability to do data analysis using SQL and Python, as well as pick up new tools on the fly.
• Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous problems and lead projects with major business impact, collaborating across teams and levels to drive sound decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in both internal debates and external relationships.
• Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals.
• High NPS with your former teammates.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic projects requiring deep data analysis with end-to-end execution and business outcomes.
• Create and rapidly iterate on externally facing data products for Forus' key partners and client engagements.
• Establish Forus' core data sources and metrics for real-time business insights.
• Collaborate with CEO and leadership as a key partner in balancing speed of growth with profitability.
