Job summary

Second Front Systems is looking for a Director of Data & Analytics to build and lead our centralized data and analytics function from the ground up. You will own the full data lifecycle across the company, from systems integration to reliable, governed metrics and executive-level reporting.

You will architect the data warehouse and BI stack, establish KPIs, and guide a team through a zero-to-one data initiative while navigating ambiguity and driving measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data, analytics, or BI, including 3+ years leading a function or company-wide data initiative.
• Experience building analytics capability from ground up; not only operating an mature stack.
• Advanced SQL and hands-on with modern data stacks and BI platforms.
• Knowledge of SaaS metrics (ARR, retention, CAC, payback) and governance to ensure audit-ready metrics.
• Experience delivering executive-level reporting to boards or investors.

Responsibilities

• Architect data warehouse, cloud platform, pipelines, data models, and BI infrastructure to replace ad-hoc reporting.
• Establish governance, definitions, and lineage for KPIs across units to ensure single governed metrics.
• Translate technical implementations into business decisions for diverse audiences.
• Build data governance frameworks that enable cross-unit metric definitions without bottlenecks.
