Job summary

Second Front Systems seeks a Director of Data & Analytics to build and lead the data function from the ground up, reporting to the VP of Finance. You will own the full data lifecycle, architecting systems, governance, and reporting to enable trusted, scalable insights across the company.

This hands-on role balances strategy and execution, directing dashboards, data models, and analytics while growing a high-performing team as the business scales.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data, analytics, or business intelligence, including 3+ years leading a function, a team, or a company-wide data initiative.

Responsibilities

• Architect the data warehouse, cloud platform, pipelines, data models, and BI infrastructure to replace ad-hoc reporting with reliable assets.
• Establish governance, definitions, and lineage for company KPIs so metrics live in one governed place.
• Build automated dashboards and operating reviews for leaders, executives, the board, and investors.
• Govern self-service analytics capabilities to ensure consistency and data quality.
• Own platform decisions, vendor relationships, reliability, cost, and security across the data tooling ecosystem.
• Synchronize data across ERP, CRM, planning systems, spend management, HRIS, product telemetry, contracts, and third-party sources.
• Partner with Finance, GTM and Revenue Ops, Mission and Programs, Product, Engineering, and Operations to identify trends and drive evidence-based decisions.
• Establish standards for code review, documentation, and intake for the function.
• Build analytics across mixed revenue models and ensure metrics align with accounting and audit requirements.
• Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing analytics team and manage the tooling budget and vendor relationships.
