Job summary

Network Rail Consulting, the international consultancy arm of Network Rail, is seeking a Data Analyst for our Seattle location. You will extract, compile, analyze and visualize data from client systems to support decisions and drive improvements in asset management and transit operations.

You will create impactful PowerPoint presentations and build dashboards in Excel and Power BI for internal and client use.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be a recent graduate or have a bachelor’s or master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• You are passionate about data and ways that data can tell a story.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; formal report, presentation and note writing skills; proficiency in spreadsheet manipulation; attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile data from client systems including EAM/ERP/LMS to support training and inventory data.
• Perform data mapping to support data migration and conformance evaluation.
• Develop data definition/dictionaries with SMEs.
• Develop data standards through partnering with data governance program.
• Communicate remediation plans and develop steps for data remediation.
• Develop reference data and taxonomies.
• Extract and organize data for analysis and trending and compare ERP/EAM Program needs.
• Ensure data quality and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Design and build dashboards in Excel and Power BI for internal and external use.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for internal and external use.
• Assist the Client, Project Manager or project team as required.
