Job summary

WMATA is seeking a Maintenance Data Analytics Manager to transform maintenance, asset, and work order data into actionable insights. You will create Power BI dashboards, automate reporting, and guide executives on performance metrics to optimize resources and operations in a complex transit signaling environment.

The role emphasizes data visualization, stakeholder collaboration, and leadership to improve maintenance delivery and reliability across the system.

Qualifications

Leads dashboard visualization design using Power BI.
Uses SQL to automate and connect dashboards to data sets.
Develops charts, maps and graphical presentations of maintenance data in dashboards/reports.
Collaborates with infrastructure, operations, and data teams on reporting.
Leads project-based reporting deliverables for internal/external audiences.

Responsibilities

Leads the design of dashboard visualizations for Power BI and uses SQL to automate and connect the dashboard to data sets.
Develops charts, maps, and graphical presentations of maintenance and other quantitative information in dashboards and automated reports.
Makes large/complex data accessible and supports leadership with effective visualizations.
Partners effectively across infrastructure, operational, and data analysis teams to deliver reporting products.
Leads project-based deliverables for internal and external reporting.
Conducts quality checks on work orders to ensure data accuracy for decision making.
Develops and maintains Excel/Word templates for daily tasks and presentations.
Identifies opportunities to make reporting more efficient through automation/workflow improvements.
Maintains reports and digital assets to organize files for quick access.
