Vernovis in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Technical Program Specialist to partner with Technical Program Managers. You will support global programs and apply expertise in engine tooling and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) across the full product lifecycle from development to aftermarket services.

You’ll coordinate technical inquiries, drive issue resolution, and work with engineering, program management, and OEMs while using Epicor and Salesforce to track progress and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years progressive experience in related field.
• Ability to read OEM tooling blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate technical inquiries related to engine tooling and GSE, determine next steps.
• Coordinate resolution and drive closure using SPR, CPR, and SCQ processes.
• Participate in reviews to identify high-impact issues and set priorities.
• Monitor resolution using TQR portal and tracking systems.
• Act as voice of the customer with engine OEMs, coordinating with engineering and program teams.
• Track demand and complete technical program deliverables using ERP systems like Epicor.
• Maintain tooling lists, source data, and revision documentation with strong data quality.
• Apply LEAN to manage tooling data lifecycle and automate repetitive tasks.
• Suggest digital tools and process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Vernovis is looking for a Technical Program Specialist who will be partnering closely with Technical Program Managers to support our clients’ global programs and services. This role applies technical expertise in engine tooling and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to support internal and external customers throughout the full product lifecycle, from new product development and sourcing through sales, order fulfillment, post-delivery support, and aftermarket services.

What You’ll Do:

• Evaluate incoming technical inquiries related to engine tooling and Ground Support Equipment (GSE), determine appropriate next steps, and coordinate resolution.
• Drive technical issues through timely closure using established processes, including Supplier Problem Reports (SPR), Customer Problem Reports (CPR), and Supply Chain Queries (SCQ).
• Participate in operational reviews to identify high-impact technical issues, establish priorities, and ensure open deliverables continue moving toward resolution.
• Monitor and analyze technical issue resolution using tools such as the Tool Query Report (TQR) portal and SPR/CPR/SCQ tracking systems.
• Serve as the voice of the customer with engine OEMs, building strong working relationships with engineering and program management teams.
• Track demand and drive completion of technical program deliverables, including weight and dimensional data, cost automation information, and CE/CA certifications, using ERP systems such as Epicor.
• Maintain accurate and current engine tooling lists, source data, technical files, and revision documentation, ensuring strong configuration management and data quality.
• Apply LEAN principles to manage the lifecycle of tooling data and technical documentation while identifying opportunities to automate and improve recurring processes.
• Recommend digital tools and process improvements that increase the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of technical program operations.

What You’ll Have:

• Strong working knowledge of aircraft, aero-engine, or aviation systems maintenance, gained through relevant hands-on or technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of progressive experience in a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret OEM tooling blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience working with commercial or military aero-engine OEM technical publications in a maintenance, repair, or overhaul (MRO) environment is preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, or order fulfillment operations is a plus.
• Strong project coordination, planning, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy across both large and small technical datasets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with CRM and ERP platforms such as Salesforce and Epicor is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, and customer-facing teams.
• Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to influence stakeholders, clearly communicate priorities, and drive issues toward resolution.
