Job Details

• Job Title: Dance & Acro Instructor
• Department: Recreation
• Reports to: Cultural Arts Manager
• FLSA: Non-Exempt
• Position Type: Part-time, Entry level

Responsibilities

• Follow existing syllabus and create lesson plans suitable for various skill levels.
• Teach dance styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, acro, and hip hop.
• Evaluate participant progress and provide feedback to improve skills and confidence.
• Develop choreography for recitals and classes.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and participant progress.
• Ensure safety and enforce facility rules.
• Participate in staff training and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons and parents.
• Recognize and respond to unsafe conditions and hazards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or in progress.
• Must be 17 years or older.
• In-depth dance experience and previous teaching experience.
• Experience working with children aged 6-15.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
