Description

SUMMARY: The Dance Instructor is responsible for teaching assigned dance classes.

The work schedule will vary based on program participation, availability, and dancer interest, including weekdays, weeknights, and weekends.

Essential Functions

• Teach dance classes to a wide range of ages.
• Obtain class lists for programs and take attendance each class meeting.
• Establish a curriculum that culminates in a dance recital.
• Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the District's safety program.

Marginal Functions

• Assist with programs and special events.

Psychological Considerations

• Must be able to function under loud and stressful conditions.
• Be sensitive to the needs of individuals with disabilities.

• Respond to the needs of children of all ages.

Qualifications
