Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking a Damage Investigator to advance safety and accountability across field operations. You will conduct comprehensive damage investigations, gather evidence, and communicate findings to operations leadership and clients.

You will review locate tickets, interview involved parties, and prepare clear reports with root causes and recommended corrective actions. Travel to field sites may be required to support prevention and improve locating accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility locating or damage prevention preferred.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document findings objectively with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to field sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform damage investigations to establish incident circumstances and root causes.
• Review locate tickets, field notes, photos, maps, and other evidence.
• Conduct interviews with employees, contractors, and involved parties.
• Prepare objective investigation reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Operations and clients to implement preventive measures.
