Job summary

Spicer Group Inc. seeks a Dam Safety Project Manager to lead a Surface Water division and manage dam safety projects from initiation through completion in Georgia.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, support business development, and mentor staff while ensuring schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements are met across inspections, design, and construction-phase services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental/Water Resources or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one state.
• Experience managing engineering projects including scope, schedule, budget, and client communication.
• Knowledge of dam safety principles, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel as needed for field work.

Responsibilities

• Manages dam safety project deliverables within the Surface Water service line, ensuring quality and budgets.
• Develops project work plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Monitors project financial performance, invoicing support, and accounts receivable coordination.
• Coordinates technical staff and subconsultants for inspections, design, permitting, and construction-phase services.
• Supports proposal development and client interviews.
• Mentors project staff and communicates project status to clients and leadership.
