Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer - Project Manager to join our Texas team. This hybrid role allows work from multiple Texas locations or remote option depending on location.

You will lead large, complex geotechnical projects for civil infrastructure, foundation design, seepage and slope stability analyses, and flood‑related works, with a focus on client relationships and BD. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in geotechnical engineering, a Texas PE, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET‑accredited program.
• 10+ years of increasing responsibility in geotechnical engineering.
• Experience in project management.
• Texas Professional Engineer license.
• Knowledge of foundation design, seismic hazard eval, liquefaction, slope stability.
• Proficient in PS&E reports, plans, specs, estimates.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office; familiarity with FLAC/GeoStudio/Mathcad.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead scope, resources, schedule, and budget for major/complex projects.
• Independently design or lead major projects.
• Lead large projects with multi‑disciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Apply extensive geotechnical knowledge to analyses and selections.
• Provide construction support and coordination with field teams and inspectors.
• Review project documents for conformity and QA.
