Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a senior Project Executive to lead government construction projects in the Dallas market. You will provide executive oversight across the project lifecycle and drive business development with government clients and contracting officers.

The role requires a proven track record delivering federal, state, and municipal projects, strong budgeting and estimating skills, and the ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously. A four-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including government/public-sector projects.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee projects through the full lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout.
• Strong knowledge of government contracting, procurement, documentation, and compliance.
• Experience working with government contracting officers, agency representatives, and design teams.
• Proven estimating experience with budgets, scopes of work, bid packages, and subcontractor proposals.
• Established business development experience and ability to pursue and win new work.
• Deep understanding of Dallas/Texas government construction markets.
• Experience leading multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
• Four-year degree in a related field; otherwise extensive relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead government and public-sector construction projects in the Dallas market from preconstruction through closeout.
• Provide executive oversight of project portfolios, risks, and profitability.
• Drive business development by maintaining government client relationships and pursuing new opportunities.
• Lead responses to RFPs/RFQs and develop compelling technical proposals.
• Mentor Project Managers, Engineers, and field leaders to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and reporting requirements.
