Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Domestic Operations Specialist to coordinate the domestic land/air movement of freight in Dallas, TX and ensure route optimization in line with company policies.

You will support transport and distribution activities, maintain equipment, plan shipments, and liaise with import/export teams. Strong freight forwarding experience, MS Office proficiency, and leadership/communication skills are valued. Pay rate: $25.21–$33.61 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Freight Forwarding experience.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• BS/BA degree preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Cargo Wise system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of operations processes and activities.
• Provide administrative support to the transport and distribution unit or department.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in working order.
• Plan routes and coordinate shipments to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with import/export departments and communicate adjustments to stakeholders.
• Load/unload operations and ensure loading security.
• Record information in databases to maintain stock records.
• Respond to inquiries such as inventory levels or delivery schedules.
• Follow established procedures and ensure proper usage of operations.
• Resolve recurring delivery issues per defined processes.
• Support team members with less experience in difficult situations.
