Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Research & Development Intern to research, design, and evaluate materials, assemblies, and equipment in our plants. You will sample milk, whey, and cheese to ensure products meet Saputo and regulatory specifications and perform lab tests.

You will support GMP adherence and help improve processes across sites. The role requires data collection and analysis, strong writing skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Technology, or related field.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and report data using basic statistics.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment in plants.
• Sample milk, whey, and cheese products and analyze results to meet specifications.
• Perform microbiological, analytical, and organoleptic lab tests and maintain GMPs.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment; report results promptly.
• Provide technical support to designated plants and assist equipment trials.
