Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a motivated candidate to support our Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams in daily plant operations.

You will assist with product evaluations, inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Food Science, have data analysis and Excel skills, and can work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelors' degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field (preferred), or have equivalent experience.
• Have an interest in food manufacturing, quality assurance, and food safety systems.
• Are able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Have a working knowledge of computer programs (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.)
• Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
• Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
• Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Can communicate effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Support QA/QC teams with daily plant operations and quality-related activities.
• Assist with product evaluations, inspections, testing, and documentation for quality and food safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement projects focused on manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Help collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends and support decisions.
• Assist with sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and food safety program verification activities.
• Support internal audits, process reviews, and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, laboratory, and quality teams to understand plant operations and quality requirements.
• Learn and apply Saputo quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for the Quality team.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
