Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to serve as the on-shift subject matter expert for production quality. You will sample, test, document results, and recommend corrective actions to uphold product specifications.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Food or Dairy Science (preferred), experience with QA/QC processes, and proficient use of SAP and MS Office. This 24/7 facility offers growth and exposure to audits and recalls.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with a concentration in Food or Dairy Science, preferred.
• Experience with food quality specifications, physical and analytical testing, process control monitoring and positive release documentation or similar is preferred.
• Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications are a plus, but not required.
• Working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, QAP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP).
• Ability to pass and maintain regulatory certification as required.
• Strong math skills and computer/office skills (SAP, Microsoft Office).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Collects samples and performs physical analytical testing of raw ingredients, packaging materials and finished dairy products.
• Perform microbiological sampling and testing of dairy products.
• Identify and communicate any out-of-specification results and follow notification protocols.
• Maintain QC records and enter data into the system.
