Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking a quality control technician to support our 24/7 dairy manufacturing operations in New York. You will collect samples, run analytical tests, and maintain QA records while ensuring compliance with SQF and GMP standards.

Hands-on microbiological testing, data entry, and equipment calibration are key duties. Strong math, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Food or Dairy Science preferred.
• Experience with food quality specifications and process control monitoring is preferred.
• Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications are a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with SQF, QA/QC, HACCP, GMP, SOP, 5S is expected.
• Ability to pass regulatory certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Collects samples and performs physical analytical testing of raw ingredients, packaging, and finished dairy products.
• Performs microbiological sampling and testing per guidelines; interprets results.
• Identify and communicate out-of-spec results and follow notification protocols.
• Maintain QC records and filing; complete analytical testing documents accurately.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment; prepare stock solutions as needed.
