Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our 24/7 manufacturing environment in New York. You will collect samples, perform microbiological testing, and ensure products meet quality specifications while maintaining thorough QC records and compliance with SAP and office tools.

The role requires strong math, data entry accuracy, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced dairy production setting, with shift flexibility and a commitment to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or higher; Associate’s degree in Food/Dairy Science preferred.
• Experience with food quality specs, process control monitoring and documentation preferred.
• Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications a plus but not required.
• Understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, QAP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP).
• Ability to pass/regulatory certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and perform physical analytical sampling and testing of ingredients, packaging materials, and finished dairy products.
• Perform microbiological sampling/testing according to guidelines; interpret results.
• Identify out-of-spec results and follow notification protocols.
• Maintain QC records and accurate data entry.
• Calibrate and maintain lab testing equipment.
• Prepare stock solutions and perform environmental swabbing with deviations reported.
