Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a Dairy Processing Manager to oversee the operation of all fluid processing and ice cream production, including the regulated milk testing laboratory, ensuring safety and quality across the full production cycle.

The role requires strict compliance with SCDHEC, FDA and USDA guidelines, with extended hours during peak seasons or emergencies; this essential position must be staffed during all state or agency emergencies and begins with four weeks of SCDC Basic

Qualifications

• High school diploma and relevant program experience.
• A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate all fluid processing and ice cream manufacturing operations.
• Operate a regulated milk testing laboratory.
• Oversee inventory, processing, record keeping, storage and shipment of all production including surplus raw milk products.
• Ensure compliance with SCDHEC and federal FDA & USDA regulations.
• Work extended hours during peak seasons and emergencies; essential during state or agency emergencies.
