Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc (AMPI) is seeking a supervisor-level leader to manage production operations, ensuring food safety, quality and efficiency across our facilities. You will mentor staff, coordinate with maintenance, and drive continuous improvement while upholding GMP and SQF standards.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, training development, and collaboration with plant leadership to meet daily and monthly targets. Strong manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science with emphasis on food science or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years relevant work experience preferred.
• 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, OSHA and loss control programs desirable.
• Technical knowledge of fluid milk, cheese and drying operations preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Report safety, food safety and quality issues to leadership.
• Manage and mentor production operations and employees.
• Coordinate with maintenance to address equipment issues and set priorities.
• Ensure daily/monthly goals are met and production expectations are communicated.
• Ensure equipment setups meet department productivity targets.
• Develop training procedures and cross-training to improve skills.
• Provide daily updates to department managers and leadership.
• Lead with staff, enforcing company policies and procedures while fostering teamwork.
