Job summary

Swiss Premium Dairy is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician to keep dairy production equipment running efficiently across processing and packaging lines. The role requires hands-on maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and collaboration with operators. You will perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, support new equipment installations, and ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards; 2–4 years of related experience preferred; ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade/technical schooling in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, or refrigeration preferred.
• 2–4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Certification or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Read electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
• Support the installation of new equipment.
• Assist operators with training and troubleshooting.
• Document all repairs and maintain paperwork per SOPs.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes.
