Job summary

Saputo, Inc. in Franklin, WI is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to safely troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve cheese processing, packaging, refrigeration, boiler, and other utility equipment.

You will collaborate with Production, Sanitation, Quality, and Engineering to enhance reliability and reduce downtime. You will read schematics, service PLC/ HMIs, and perform preventive maintenance while following safety procedures and SAP/CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors).
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Basic computer skills and accurate maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on production equipment.
• Support shred, dice, conveyors, packaging systems and other line equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, PLC I/O drawings, and P&IDs.
• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance and root cause analysis.
• Install, align, and maintain conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
• Maintain refrigeration, compressed air, boilers, and other utilities.
• Complete maintenance records in SAP/CMMS and communicate repair status.
