Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (Kemps) seeks a Sr. Manager, Engineering for the Minneapolis Milk Plant in Minneapolis, MN.

You will lead engineering and maintenance, directing supervisors and technicians to ensure reliable production, safety, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will develop maintenance strategies, manage the budget, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize asset life and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
• 8+ years in engineering or maintenance in a food manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience of maintenance personnel.
• Experience managing budgets and capital projects.
• Capable of leading plant capex projects using CAD and/or other tools.
• Experience with electrical motor control circuitry up to 480V 3 phase preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting; Allen Bradley experience preferred.
• Ammonia/Refrigeration Level 2 certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of engineering and maintenance to optimize productivity and infrastructure.
• Direct a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians.
• Develop and implement predictive/preventative maintenance programs.
• Use CMMS to optimize asset utilization and maintenance scheduling.
• Collaborate with management to improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Prioritize and manage capital improvement projects and budgets.
• Source vendors and negotiate contracts for equipment and services.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and GMPs.
• Lead and develop staff in alignment with company culture and policies.
