Job summary

Kemps Minneapolis, a Kemps plant owned by the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our production lines running. You will fix equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support daily production in an overnight, 10-hour shift.

The role involves electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic work, plus installation and collaboration with operators. Union benefits and safety-first culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical maintenance training a plus.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLCs, or HVAC equipment helpful.

Responsibilities

• Fix and maintain production and packaging machines.
• Perform regular equipment checks and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues to keep lines running and reduce downtime.
• Work on electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, air (pneumatic), and hydraulic systems.
• Help install new equipment.
• Work with operators to solve problems quickly.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Complete work orders and document repairs clearly and on time.
• Communicate problems that may affect production.
• Follow safety, food safety, and company procedures.
