Job summary

HP Hood is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the production shift, driving safety, quality, and efficiency while coaching team members toward goals. You will oversee training, development and coaching to meet targets and ensure dairy product manufacturing standards are upheld.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, adherence to GMPs, and effective communication across shifts and departments within HP Hood's plant operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply basic to complex math concepts such as adding, counting, and weights & measures.
• Strong reading, writing and communication skills in English.
• Ability to interpret company documents and UPC/code information.
• Willingness to complete company training requirements.
• Ability to operate facility equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Production, Safety, Quality, Employee Relations, Performance, and Cost on the assigned shift.
• Achieve production objectives and utilize resources effectively on the shift.
• Coach and assist in resolving mechanical issues to improve productivity.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale.
• Enforce GMPs and adhere to policies, coaching as needed.
• Validate training and ensure SOP compliance on shift.
• Ensure dairy safety and sanitation, report food safety problems, and support SQF.
