DAIRY/LEAD CLERK (Finance)



Plan, organize, train, and direct Grocery Clerks; perform production and customer service functions; maximize store sales and profits. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Minimum Requirements

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude to manage people and organize workloads.
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work professionally across all organization levels.
  • Personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualified to operate power machinery and use various job tools.
  • Understanding of key department operations.
  • Calmly handle stressful situations and positively influence associates and customers.
  • Skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer service related to merchandise sales.

  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and safety regulations.
  • Ability to safely handle cleaning solutions, sharp tools, and operate label guns, balers, and compactors.
  • Organize work, train, and schedule associates to ensure prompt, courteous service.
  • Respond tactfully and professionally to customer and associate inquiries and complaints.
  • Use Computer Assisted Ordering to manage merchandise and supplies, ensuring proper inventory and accounting.
  • Price and display merchandise properly, maintaining signage, rotation, freshness, and space allocation.
  • Engage and counsel associates on effective merchandising, customer service, and promotional activities.
  • Implement company programs and policies, ensuring a harassment- and discrimination-free work environment.
  • Contribute to department budgets, goals, and results to maximize sales and profits.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and customers to foster a positive environment.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities according to safety and company standards.
  • Keep the floor, shelves, and displays clean and sanitary.
  • Accurately maintain department temperature logs across shifts.
  • Assist with inventories, store resets, remodels, and merchandising promotions.
  • Supervise and coach team members; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
