Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Dairy/Frozen Management Assistant to support supervision of up to 10 associates in the Dairy/Frozen Department. The role assists the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation, including floor monitoring, interviewing and training, and directing work to ensure high standards and customer service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and ability to read/write English with basic computer and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 10 associates in Dairy/Frozen Department; support Department Manager with direction, coordination and evaluation.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and standards.
• Perform floor monitoring, interviewing and training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates.
• Process/stock products according to Dairy/Frozen Standards; keep areas clean; provide customer service; unload stock and reload salvage.
