Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise team members across store departments. You will mentor staff, manage staffing, and drive customer service and sales while upholding Meijer standards.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, and disciplinary actions when needed; oversight of P&L, inventory shrink, and product presentation. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills required; prior retail management preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members in the organization with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to teach suggestive selling.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day operations within store departments.
• Mentors and coaches team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are met.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning and development needs across the team.
• Oversees P&L and shrink reduction efforts while maintaining company standards.
• Maintains store appearance, product presentation and adherence to Meijer standards.
• Ensures safety and compliance in daily operations.
