Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain store standards.

Responsibilities include staffing, hiring, promoting development, controlling shrink, and delivering fast, friendly service while adhering to company policies and safety standards. Retail experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly, resolve conflicts, and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Lead safety-focused organization and mentor team members; complete certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; implement strategies to improve service and sales.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs; promote development and promotions.
• Document disciplinary actions and decisions regarding discharge.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales targets and control shrink.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and maintain store appearance.
• Ensure training is completed and communicated in team meetings.
