Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience required.
• Rotational assignments across store areas like meat, bakery, produce, and deli.
• Excellent communication and clear direction to the team.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Proven ability to analyze financial and sales data to guide decisions.
• Must complete all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach staff to meet service and sales goals.
• Oversee staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning.
• Maintain P&L and control shrink for the department.
• Ensure safe, friendly, and efficient customer service.
• Maintain training and ensure all required certifications are completed.
• Communicate Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
