Job summary

Harris Teeter seeks a Full Time Dairy/Frozen Management Assistant in Matthews, NC. You will assist to manage and supervise up to 10 associates in the Dairy/Frozen Department, supporting the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.

You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in line with company policies, including interviewing, training, assigning tasks, and addressing performance issues while ensuring product stocking to standards and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
Willingness to participate in required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; write simple correspondence in English.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Assist to manage and supervise up to 10 associates in the Dairy/Frozen Department.
Assist the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities per Harris Teeter policies and standards, including interviewing and training associates, planning, assigning and directing work, and rewarding or disciplining staff.
Process/stock products according to Dairy/Frozen Standards, clean work areas, provide customer service, unload stock, and reload salvage.
