Job summary

The Kroger Company is seeking a staff member to deliver outstanding customer service in our Alpharetta location. This role supports department goals, maintains a safe, clean environment, and helps customers by answering questions and suggesting products. You will work with associates to promote trust and ensure a welcoming store experience.

You will be knowledgeable about products, assist with samples, monitor dairy items, and uphold food safety and safety procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing)
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering product questions.
• Gain knowledge of products sold and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials and provide fresh products.
• Recommend dairy items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Check product quality and review sell by dates.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Handle conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
• Provide assistance to minors, people with special needs, and older adults.
