Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Dairy Manager to lead the Dairy Department in our California stores. You will supervise daily operations, ensure product freshness, and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will coach staff, manage inventory, adjust pricing, and partner with leadership to meet financial goals. This role requires strong leadership, scheduling flexibility, and commitment to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 2 years of retail grocery experience.
• Have good communication skills; ability to take direction in a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Know personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude toward Team Members and customers.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks, hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for up to 3 hours; lift up to 40 lbs; move 36 ft as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations; Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Give direction to clerks while overseeing presentation and sanitation.
• Process/stock products according to Sprouts dairy standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.
• Control inventory to recommended stock levels and minimize stock loss.
• Manage pricing changes within the department.
• Lead team through coaching, feedback, and bi-annual performance reviews.
• Recruit, hire and promote/transfer decisions with Store Manager.
