Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Dairy Manager to oversee the Dairy Department, ensuring outstanding customer service, product freshness, and efficient operations on the sales floor and in the backroom cooler.

The role requires directing clerks, managing inventory, and driving department sales while maintaining high sanitation and safety standards. Eligible candidates will lead with strong communication and a team-focused mindset in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Possess working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct clerks in the Dairy Department and oversee presentation and sanitation on sales floor and backroom cooler.
• Process and stock products according to Sprouts dairy standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Provide direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Dairy Department.
• Control inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stock loss.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and remove out-of-code items.
• Adjust prices within the department as needed.
• Coach and develop team members; participate in performance reviews.
