Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Dairy Manager in Santa Fe to lead daily Dairy Department operations, ensure product quality, and deliver exceptional customer service. The role requires directing staff, managing inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards on the sales floor and in backroom coolers.

The Dairy Manager will coordinate pricing, staff coaching, and performance reviews, while collaborating with the Store Manager on staffing and promotions to drive sales and customer

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with 2+ years in retail grocery.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of personnel, margin, weekly sales and goals.
• Positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, scale items safely.
• Stand long hours and lift up to 40 lbs; food handler permit.

Responsibilities

• Direct clerks in the Dairy Department and oversee presentation and sanitation on sales floor and backroom cooler.
• Process and stock products according to Dairy standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.
• Control inventory with ordering to maximize sales and minimize loss.
• Rotate products for freshness and remove out-of-code items.
• Adjust prices within the department as needed.
• Coach and evaluate team members; conduct semi-annual reviews.
• Attend and participate in in-store meetings.
• Recruit, hire, and promote or transfer in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Address team concerns with independent judgment; take corrective actions as needed.
• Create and adjust schedules to maximize productivity.
• Communicate standards, policy changes, and product knowledge.
• Lead a team that delivers top-quality product, service, and customer experience.
