Job summary

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. The internship is based in Madison, WI onsite and offers hands-on experience in dairy culture testing and milk coagulation enzymes.

You will assist application specialists on technical projects from experimental design to completion, operate lab equipment, collect and analyze data, and present reports to the team. A strong academic record in Dairy or related Food Science is preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in BS/Masters/PhD in Dairy or related Food Science.
• Good time management and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work on major and minor projects testing dairy cultures and milk coagulation enzymes in dairy products (cheese, yoghurt).
• Assist on technical projects from experimental design to completion, including equipment testing and preparation of materials.
• Operate lab and pilot plant equipment to produce trial samples of cheese and yoghurt.
• Test samples with analytical equipment, collect, organize, analyze data, and present trial reports.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in the lab.
• Present the final internship project report to the application team.
