Job summary

Alliance Group, Inc. in Manchester, CT is seeking HVAC Apprentices who have completed their schooling to pursue D2, SM2 or P2 licenses.

You will work under a licensed HVAC Professional, assisting in installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems while gaining hands-on experience. You will learn to read schematics, install ductwork, troubleshoot electrical circuits with meters, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Completion of schooling for trade discipline.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Understand refrigeration and heating cycles; troubleshoot mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using multi-meters and diagnosing electrical circuits.
  • Knowledge of HVAC components, controls, air flow dynamics, and psychrometrics.
  • Familiarity with computer-based systems, including Windows OS and HVAC load calculation software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders and stairs.
  • Work at heights over 3 feet and in varied weather conditions.
  • Perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.
  • Ability to hear, speak clearly, and operate vehicles and tools safely.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and maintain regular, reliable attendance.

  • Ensure a safe job site through proper use of PPE and compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Communicate with dispatch, management, and coworkers to deliver excellent service.
  • Participate in ongoing training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal HVAC regulations.

Description

We have an immediate need for HVAC Apprentices, who have completed their schooling, and are wishing to apprentice for the Connecticut D2, SM2 or P2 license.
In the role of HVAC Apprentice, you will work under a licensed HVAC Professional, assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial HVAC systems under the supervision of a licensed technician. You’ll gain hands‑on experience and develop technical expertise while contributing to high‑quality service and safety standards.


Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a licensed journeyperson in your trade, you will:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
  • Assist with the demolition, removal, and installation of HVAC equipment.
