Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Cytotechnology.
• ASCP Cytotechnologist certification required.
• Tennessee Cytotechnologist license preferred.
• Maintains continuing education for certification/licensure.
• Minimum one year experience as a Cytotechnologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examines gynecological and non-gynecological slides daily according to protocols.
• Records findings in computer system and daily logs.
• Identify and correct problems affecting test performance or reporting.
• Communicates issues to supervisor or manager.
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support QA/QC programs and monitoring.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Protect confidential health information and comply with Corporate policies.
