Job summary

Advocate Health's Navicent Health Medical Center - Anatomic Pathology in Georgia is seeking a Cytotechnologist. The role performs microscopic evaluations of gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens, applying independent judgment to support physician diagnoses.

Weekdays, 8:00A–4:30P, with no weekends or holidays, and eligibility for sign-on and relocation assistance. The position requires CT or SCT certification within one year and training in a CAAHEP-approved program, along with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or clinical laboratory sciences.
• Minimum one year of training in a CAAHEP-approved cytotechnology program.
• Must obtain Cytotechnologist (CT) or SCT certification within 1 year.
• Experience with cytology proficiency testing and continuing education (12 credit hours).
• Ability to work in a team and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of diagnostic principles for gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology evaluations.
• Evaluate samples for malignant, pre-malignant, infectious and inflammatory changes.
• Ensure proper labeling, data entry and accurate billing reports.
• Assist and prepare cytology slides from FNA procedures.
• Monitor quality control and instrument performance; troubleshoot as needed.
