Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Cytology Technologist to prepare and examine samples, ensuring accurate reports and timely results. You will stain slides, assist with fine needle aspirations, and present specimens to the Pathologist while maintaining essential records.
Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in science, complete cytology program, and current CT (ASCP) certification with at least one year of cytology experience including both GYN and Non-GYN diagnostics.

Prepares and examines samples for evidence of pathological conditions, following established standards and practices.
Receives specimens sent to the laboratory and plans the method of specimen processing. Assists physicians with fine needle aspirations. Reports/maintains patient test results in an accurate/timely manner. Stains, cover slips slides and microscopically examines specimens. Presents slides to Pathologist for examination. Maintains required records, reports, and statistics as directed. Maintains good relations with all staff and clients that use clients that use cytology services.
Bachelor's Degree in Science related field and complete cytology program and 1 year or more of experience in cytotechnology to include experience on both GYN and NonGyn diagnostics. Diagnose and report cytology cases accurately. CT (ASCP).
