Job summary

Medical City Dallas, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Cytogenetics Technologist to perform chromosome analysis and FISH with minimal supervision. You will participate in QA/QI projects, troubleshoot testing procedures, and help develop new protocols while supporting cost-effective lab operations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, prior chromosome and/or FISH analysis experience, and CG Cytogenetics certification.

• CG Cytogenetics certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform chromosome analysis, FISH, tissue culture, and harvesting.
• Contribute to quality assurance and quality improvement projects.
• Troubleshoot equipment and testing processes to ensure quality.
• Direct research and development of new procedures.
• Help control laboratory costs while maintaining quality goals.
