Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Lab Associate II in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The role supports clinical laboratory operations in Cytogenetics, assisting with sample handling, preparation, labeling, and data entry.

The position requires 1 year of laboratory experience, with PHI handling experience preferred. Day 1 medical benefits, competitive incentives and opportunities for advancement are provided. Schedule: Tue–Sat, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 1 year of histopathology, cytology or other laboratory experience.
• 1 year of experience handling PHI and patient information using a LIS.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, including racking, aliquoting and tube preparation.
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares specimens and transports/stores them.
• Identifies sample problems and assists in resolving issues.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with preventive maintenance.
• Trains other Lab Associates and supports Training Programs.
