Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Lab Associate II in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Work schedule is Thursday to Monday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, in the Molecular Infectious Disease department.

The role includes preparing samples, labeling, handling, and transporting specimens, with responsibilities for data entry and quality control. The position requires 1 year of laboratory experience (histopathology or cytology preferred) and familiarity with LIS.

Qualifications

• 1 year of histopathology, cytology or other laboratory experience.
• 1 year of experience handling PHI and other patient information using a LIS.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, e.g., racking, aliquoting, tube preparation.
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares specimens and stores them properly.
• Identifies sample problems and helps resolve issues.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with maintenance and approvals.
• Trains other Lab Associates and supports training programs.
