Job summary

Labcorp in RTP, North Carolina, is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. You will receive and sort clinical lab specimens, prepare samples for testing, and handle data entry while maintaining equipment and a clean, safe work area.

The schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with responsibilities that include paperwork, record logs, and adherence to SOPs to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
