Job summary

Army NAF seeks an experienced program administrator for the Child and Youth Services (CYS) division. You will help manage operations, budgets, and staff for diverse CYS programs across posts, ensuring compliance with DoD policies and AR 215-3 requirements.

Responsibilities include budget analysis, data reporting, staff recruitment, and system management using CYMS or CYERT. Candidates should demonstrate strong planning, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • Resumes must be two pages (or less).
  • Resumes should clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
  • Experience with regulatory, personnel, funding and budgeting processes for CYS programs.
  • Four years of program administration experience in child and youth programs.
  • Experience in training adults and working effectively with command staff, professional staff and parents.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize work, and analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency using standard office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, e-mail).
  • Knowledge of CYMS/CYERT or similar automated systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties under the general direction of the CYS Coordinator who outlines program objectives and discusses complex matters.
  • Assists CYS Services coordinator with operational functions of the CYS program in accordance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists CYS Coordinator with budget preparation and justification; analyzes monthly budget reports to adjust programs accordingly.
  • Recruits, hires and supervises staff including the CYS Nurse, Functional Technology Specialist and other CYS personnel not tied to a specific program.
  • Utilizes automated systems to collect and maintain statistical data and oversees funding accounting; analyzes data for the CYS Annual Report.
