Army NAF is seeking a candidate to operate the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Technology Lab. You will plan and conduct activities for participants, supervise lab usage, and ensure equipment is well-maintained and compliant with DoD/Army standards.

You will also train youth in using equipment and software, promote safety and health practices, and support certification and accreditation processes within the lab environment.

Formación

• Be able to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Be 18 years of age at time of employment.
• Possess and maintain ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
• Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease.
• Possess knowledge and demonstrated skill in Microsoft Windows and Applications using the Internet (email, searching, web page design) and network computing.
• Possess a professional certificate or higher related to computer science/information technology, or 24 months of experience working in the related field.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for the operation of the CYS Technology Lab in accordance with applicable regulations. Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for program participants.
• Creates a positive environment in CYS Technology Lab that includes appropriate materials and supplies to supplement computer software programs and Internet access. Provides supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants.
• Ensures computer, peripherals, and software are maintained in good condition and working order. Troubleshoots hardware, printers, scanners, servers and software.
• Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques. Promotes and role models safety, fitness, health and nutrition practices.
• Trains children/youth in use of equipment and software programs. Ensures assigned area achieves and maintains standards for DoD/Army certification and national accreditation or Army equivalent.
